Canopy Walk

Probably the park's best known attraction. This walk consists of 7 bridges suspended approximately 40 meters (130 ft) off the ground and connects 6 tree platforms. Here you will have a unique (there are just a few canopy walks in the world and this is, with its 350 meters, the longest one*) opportunity to observe the rain-forest from the top, where the vegetation and wildlife differ entirely from lower levels of the forest.

Nature Walk

Come along with one of the park guides to learn about the animals that live in the rain-forest and the trees in it. Find out some interesting facts about the vegetation such as medicinal or traditional uses and listen to some of the legends of Kakum's rain-forest.

Top Hill camp site

The campsite is situated in the protected rain-forest and has beautiful and spacious tents that can accomodate up to 45 people, although groups are usually much smaller (it could be just you!). There is a rustic washroom with a toilet, a store room and a kitchen with a laterite oven to grill meat, fish or vegetables.

The fee (30.00 Gh¢ - ~$22) includes spending the night in the camp (tents, mattresses and cooking equipment provided) and the company of a Wildlife Ranger who will take care of the campfire, story-telling/folk-tales, local games and guide you in a night and/or early-morning Nature Walk.

You can call us to make a reservation or simply show up at the park reception's office (if you e-mail us, allow several days to receive a confirmation, our access to Internet is very limited).
